Funeral service with full police honors for former St. Paul officer Felicia Reilly

A funeral service with full police honors is taking place Monday morning for former St. Paul officer Felicia Reilly.

Reilly died March 1 at the age of 67 — 15 years after suffering a traumatic brain injury when she was attacked while on duty.

Reilly’s family said her death was due to injuries stemming from that assault. She spent nearly 17 years with the St. Paul Police Department.

The department remembered her as “compassionate, devoted, and an inspiration to many.”

She’s survived by her husband, five children and many grandchildren.

Services began at 11 a.m. at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in St. Paul.

A procession will follow at about noon, traveling west on Larpenteur Avenue to Roselawn Cemetery. St. Paul police are encouraging people to line the procession route.
