Adam Uren at Bring Me the News reports: “A Belle Plaine man has been indicted on federal hate crime charges for allegedly assaulting a Black man outside a bar last year.
“Minnesota U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger announced that Justin Kudla, 35, who was already facing state-level assault charges over the Feb. 3, 2024, assault, is now indicted with one count of interference with federally protected activities and one count of a hate crime.”

“Sen. Mike Bousselot, R-Ankeny, announced the proposal to enter into negotiations with Iowa’s northern neighbor on Tuesday in remarks at the Land Investment Expo.”
