Anoka-Hennepin school board member, parents rights group threaten budget shutdown over equity programs

Sahan Journal’s Becky Z. Dernbach reports an Anoka-Hennepin school board member is threatening to force a budget shutdown over a program meant to increase racial and gender equity. “But officials at the north metro school district say many of these programs are required by law, and eliminating them could imperil the district’s funding and students’ ability to graduate.”
