The Vikings have their quarterback after drafting Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy

With the 10th pick in the NFL draft the Minnesota Vikings selected Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy. This is the first time the Vikings have drafted a quarterback in the top 10 ever, per Kare’s Reggie Wilson.

Jeremy Olson with the Star Tribune reports HIV infections and cases of syphilis passed onto newborns are rising across the state. “The 324 newly diagnosed HIV infections last year made up the highest total since 2010, and partly reflected the spread of the virus in new populations.”
