State and federal officials are briefing reporters at 1 p.m. on the state of battling wildland fires in northern Minnesota.
The latest briefing comes as crews battle more than a dozen wildfires, including the Bear Trap Fire.
"We've got a lot of structures. Got two lodges on Big Lake, north north end of Big Lake. We're still focusing on with our structure protection resources, and a couple down south from some islands and south on Big Lake,” Peter Myers with the U.S. Forest Service, said in an update earlier in the day.
